Well here I am again....

It has been awhile since I posted on here.   I completely forgot I had this blog.  But here I am again.  Losing weight and taking names.   So in my last posts I was taking Wellbutrin but in the end that wasn't successful.   I also did LeVel again.  nothing...Plexus slim.  I liked the flavor but didn't do what it said.   I also went on Phentermine.   That was good,  but gave me high blood pressure.  So I had to go off that.    So I slowly gained weight.  I tried WW numerous times but I just couldn't get the results I did when I did it back before I started working.   Also I stopped going to the gym.  Well here I am...trying again.  Back in February 2022, I started WW again.  I lost 25lbs on that.  then September/November my sister was looking into prescription drugs.   I found that they had new medication out there.  After jumping through some hoops and figuring out what my insurance will and will not cover.  I decided on Wegovy but there was a shortage.   So I went with Saxenda until the Wegovy came back in stock.   So November 2022 I started Saxenda.   I was 208lbs.  Back in Feb of 2022.  my weight was 235.   So I titrated up like I was suppose to.   I had no major issues with the medication.  The food noise was quieted, my appetite was lowered and what I did eat kept me content longer.   Then in Feb 2023,  Wegovy is back in stock so I switched over.  The reasoning is that Wegovy is once a week as opposed to the Saxenda daily.   I didn't like having to inject myself.  It made me nervous.  but I got over it and it really don't hurt.  Again my food noise is still quiet, food digestion is slower, cravings are minimized.   I don't have any major side effects.  Some things people experience is nausea, constipation, vomiting, etc.   I don't have any of that.   I have currently lost another 25lbs.   My loss is slower than some experience but I am ok with that.(or so I tell myself)  I am now 179#     My goal is 150, anything more and that is good.  I will never meet the ideal BMI that all the websites say.   that is 110 to 119#.

My body isn't bouncing back like when I lost weight back before I started working.  I also haven't been doing the weight lifting I did back then.  But my skin is saggy and I guess according to my friend I am also loosing my butt.    So now I have to look into skin tightening.  I can't do body pump like I did before cuz classes and work don't line up.   So I have been doing water fitness and elliptical.  I also got an infinity hoop, but I haven't given that a go yet.

so wellbutrine. and Plexus slim

So I am still waiting for the side effect of curbing appetite and binges but nothing.  I am a little thirstier which is good cuz i need more water.  But i don't think this stuff is working.  My libido is a little more.

Plexus slim.   i saw a co working using this.  mind you she is a tiny little sprite.  so she brought me a sample.  it is yummy.  she said it helps her hunger between meals.  this is good.  i need this cuz man between meals I feel hungry and it can't be always thirsty as i go up and drink water.  I got the combo of the accelerator and block.  The block really is just white kidney beans which is what i have here.  but eh.

we shall see

Wellbuterine

I have been having a hard time keeping my weight in check.  I know i need to drink more water.  I know I stopped going to the gym but I am still very active at work.  I think I eat ok.  but my scale is creeping toward 200 and I don't like it.  So I was talking to my seester, and she got on phentermine to just help her get her to a level where she can maintain.  Said I should talk to my doctor about getting on that.  well she was hesitant to give me that for who knows why.  she did prescribe Belviq but then the insurance denied me and since it was $225 out of pocket.  It wasn't feasible to do out of pocket.  So plan B was Wellbutrine.  I said "prescribe that one cuz even if the insurance denies it, the cost out of pocket isn't as high"  So here I am day 4 of welbutrine.   It really isn't a weight loss drug.  It is an antidepressant, but the side effect is weight loss.  So now we see.  Today I am starting 2 pills a day.  That second pill is going to be tough as I always forget it.  Morning pill is easy cuz I already have been taking pills in the morning.

That brings me to my morning pill.  I started Le-vel's thrive again.  No luck.  No loss, No appetite curbing.  nothing.    So I am done with that.

I will check in next week with an update on how things are going.

Le Vel and Thrive

So I took my last set of pills the other day.  I still have patches left since they sent me the wrong set with my last order.  Once those are done I am done.  They didn't really do anything for me beyond some energy.   I didnt have the HUGE boost of energy others say.  I didn't get any weight loss.  I didn't have my appetite curb.  Cravings still there.  Some say they had energy and were able to kick the soda.  Nope Na Da here.   I guess I will have to try something else.  I was looking at Skinny Fiber but YIKES it is pricey.  course so was Level.  skinny fiber you can get 6 bottles for $179 so i guess it isn't that bad and I was paying just under that for one month of pills and patches for Level.  But finding anyone who has actually used it and lost is hard.  Sure I see a lot of stories but are they true.

One thing I dis like about LeVel. is that there is no support system.  With Visalus there was groups and i could ask any question and get help.  with LeVel.  i have no clue if i am doing anything right.  it don't really give you instructions.  just take the pill then 20 min later slap on the patch.

So far the only diet program that worked for me was Weight Watchers

So anyone try anything out there and it worked.

Weight loss. UGH

trying to lose and failing miserably.  If hubby hadn't pushed me to find a job then I would still be going to the gym.  I started gaining when I stopped.  I can't workout at home.  I just can't.  there is no one to push me.  at the gym I sucked it up and kept going.  Everyone was watching.  No one is watching here so if I want to sit out or quit early.  who is to stop me.  Also water.  I don't drink enuf.  I know it.  When I am working it is impossible to get enuf.  Unless I think about it and grab a drink every time I pass the water fountain.

Weight loss programs I have tried

Weight watchers.  This works.  until i plateaued

ViSalus -  good shakes but didn't lose anything.

Thrive by Le-Vel.  Not a weight loss program but they do say one of the side effects is Weight loss and appetite suppression.  um not for me.  My appetite is the same.  and I lost no weight

Anyway.  trying to lose as much as I can by end of Aug..in a competition with my sisters and mom.  going to try and get more water in and going to try and get some workouts in

Goodbye Le-vel

well this is going to be my last month on thrive by Le-vel.  it isn't worth the money.  I haven't lost anything on it or feel like my appetite is less.  I know this is really just a side effect on some but i was so hopeful.  I do feel slightly more pep but not enuf to warrant the cost of it.  i am sure i can find something else to get that Pep.  i just got replacement patches as they sent me the wrong ones.  if it was a preference of color that is one thing but i ordered and paid extra for the ultra and they sent me the regular.  so now i have 2 months of patches.  not sure if i want to order one month of vitamins to go with the second patch set or just take some multi vitamins.  i probably will just take a multi. I know there is many who have had success with thrive but i am just not one of them.  i also lost nothing with Visalus but i do love the shake flavor and will continue with those for my am breakfest when i don't have time to eat (early mornings on the way to work)  IF anyone has a weight loss plan let me know.  In the last few months i have put on 20 pounds.  i know it is me...i have fallen to bad habits.  stopped drinking water as often and eating more junk then usual.  i think i am going to try doing some weight watchers again.  (ha try.  i been saying i am going to try a lot)

Thriving....well

Well I have been on Thrive for over 7 weeks.  No loss...NONE...I haven't seen a decrease in appetite.  I think I have more energy but I don't know...hard to tell.  I know I need to drink more water but drinking water at work is nearly impossible and drinking at home is eh.  I have to have ice but my ice maker is broken.  I use to buy ice and fill it but now it won't even give me the ice.  It is stuck.  I so need a new fridge.  I also use to be so diligent with what I am eating and how much I am eating but I lost it and am having a hard time getting it back.  Partly cuz I work so long sometimes and when I get home I don't want to cook so I either eat something quick and easy or I get take out.   I also know I need to get better sleep.  Now that I am done with my binge of Gilmore Girls I should have less late nights.

Anyway...I just wanted to give you an update

I am on week 3 of Thrive by LeVel

I don't know what to think about this.   I think it is giving more energy but as far as the weight loss side effect.  I have lost nothing.   I am down 1# this week but that is nothing  new I have done that without  thrive.   I am torn if I want to get more when I run out.  If I do I think I will just get the dft patches and pills and skip the shake as I prefer Visalus.  Any one have any Thrive success stories.

Thriving week 2

I wanted to update you on Thrive by Le-Vel.  I am on week 2 but there is no loss of weight.  My energy and clarity seems better.    But my appetite I think is the same.  I know my friend said she feels fuller longer but I don't.  But I also am not the greatest at drinking my water.  I have to think about drinking it.  Water never was my fave.  Another reason no loss is Monday weigh in day and I started feeling the Curse coming on.  So that would explain the no loss.  (also no gain so that is a plus)  Today is Saturday.  And I have off.  That is usually bad as I have a tendency to eat things I shouldn't.  Though I think I am doing good.  I have had 2 4"pancakes (no syrup) and some Almonds.  and my coke Zero.

I will still Thrive.  Though I need to do my shake with a scoop of Visalus.  I just can't get past the flavor of of the Thrive shake.  My friend says 2 things of french vanilla creamer and it is nummy but I did that with vanilla almond milk and it still was off to me.  But the 1 scoop of visalus is good cuz it give extra calories cuz really the Thrive and almond milk is only 140 calories and for me that isn't enuf for Breakfast.  I need at least 300 for the morning.  Chewing gum though helps get me from Breakfast to Lunch.

So Tomorrow will be the start of Week 3...stay tuned.

Tomorrow I start Thriving.

Not sure if you heard about Le-vel.  I know I had a fb friend who I met through Visalus and then he left that and started with Le-vel.  I never really thought about it until my best friend told me about it recently and how she feels so much better emotionally, has more energy and lost weight to boot.  Yeah I need the energy and the weight loss.   I have gained 10# from my lowest average of last year.  Last year at this time I was 182 and stayed pretty much there give or take a pound or two.  but I went up to 192#  in the last few months.  and have been stuck there.  give or take a pound. I know part of it is lack of fitness.  It isn't that I am not active.  I am.  I work full time at hobby lobby and am on my feet all day.  Some days up and down a ladder.  Some days walking back and forth to register and on truck day...lifting box after box of stock and pricing (that day I get 25,000 steps in)   but I stopped lifting weights.  I have also stopped keeping track of what I eat.  I also fell back into that routine of candy bars and such.  I don't eat much fruit or veggies and the only shake I regularly eat is my morning shake on the way to work.

Anyway...I am going to start thriving tomorrow.  That consists of 2 pills in morning before I do anything else.  20-40 min later, slap on a DFT patch and have a shake (I do that now anyway)  The Shake I guess though is only 4 days (you only get 16 servings) and that is it.  Still going to watch what I eat.  I do have 4 bags left of my Vi shake...so if I need a shake on my off days I can still have it.

I still need to figure out fitness.  Maybe I will start a 30 day squat challenge and something else.  I do have Body pump for at home but it just isn't the same as working out in the group class at the gym.

Stay tuned.  Hopefully I will have good result cuz as you all know...on Body By Vi.  I lost nothing.

Young Living Oil and on to new things

Well I am going to say Young Living Oil for me is a bust.  I lost nothing on these oils.  The thing I hate is there is no information on what to do.  No way to research it and no Help groups to find.  You basically hear from word of mouth and then fly by the seat of your pants.  I took the oil. changed nothing else.  Lost nothing.  If I am to change anything other than adding oil, (drinking more water, watching what I eat) then the oils aren't the reason, it is the changes that I made.  Not sure what I am going to do with the remaining oil that I have.

On the new thing...my sister started SlimQuick Pure and she said she so far has liked it.  So I am going to give it a go.  I have been reading reviews and they sound good.  I figure can't hurt to try and it is less out of my pocket than those Oils were.  Maybe this will give me the boost I need.

Also the kids are now back to school.. I am going to see if I can hit the gym again.  If not I will cancel my membership.  Looks like the only days I will be able to go is Thursday and Friday morning and Saturday (depending on what i work)  this Friday i close so i could hit the Pump class in the am.

Stay tune...I hope to tell you that I got over my plateau

Young Living Oil - Week 3

Well I am on week 3 of these oils.  Well technically it should be week 4 but I missed a week because I didn't have any pills made up and I just kept forgetting.  I still haven't lost anything on this trio of oils.  Sure I still notice my appetite is less but other than that na da.  Finding out information about this "diet" plan is slim.  I don't know if taking just the oils and eating normal is what you should do or watching what you eat and the oils.  If it is watching what you eat then the oils really aren't the key to weight loss.  We all know calories in calories out.   This week though I did get on the elliptical 3 times.  I think I am going to go pop on again before work.  I am an active person.  I do on a low day 10,000 steps and on a high day 23,000.  I do some how have to get my weight lifting back in my fitness plan.

If anyone has any ideas on this Trio oil diet plan.  give me a shout

I have next weeks pills made up.  I will continue with these oils until they are gone.

Young Living Oil

Long time no post hey...So I thought I would give this a try.  This oil trio touted as a weight loss tool.

I heard some stories how they lost X amount the first week and blah blah.  So i been on it for a week. I actually been remembering to take one in the am and one in the pm.  And are you ready...dun dun dun.  I lost nothing.  I actually gained 2 pounds.  But those 2# showed up the last day cuz almost all week I held steady at 182.5.  And this was even with me being broken (AKA women time)   So I thought for sure there would be a loss since I weighed in during that first day which I for sure was bloated.

Yes, I know it has only been a week and I will continue on with this oil since I spent the money on it.  I hope next week the results will be promising.   I am stuck at the 180's.  I need some boost as I am not working out like I use to due to me working now.  Sure I am on my feet but I lost some of the muscle I once had.  We hopefully will get our basement finished and then I can set up a workout corner and get Body Pump for at home.

Any way on to this oil.  I must say I have noticed the appetite has been curbed a little.  I can't say anything about the energy as this morning I was so worn down it wasn't funny.  I was exhausted.  But i think that was due to how hot it was in the store.   I think once this first batch of pills I made up are gone I am going to up it to 4 drops of each instead of 2.

Stay tuned to this blog if you are curious about this oil.  Will it be a weight loss trio or have I bought into Snake oil?  We shall see.  I must say though.  When I belch it smells like peppermint.

Good luck trying to find any independent blogs or write ups on this.  I have a hard time finding anything except by people selling the oils or by the company.  I just want to find REAL people with REAL results.

Feeling MEH...

I am so sick of the backward and forward...move forward a little on the scale then back again.  This is how it goes.  When I was on weight watchers and now Body by Vi.  Don't get me wrong...I love my shakes.  I am not giving them up.  They make me feel good.  Give me energy.  Curb the munchie attacks.   I know if I ate clean like some always say, I would probably be losing but I don't want to give up all the things I like.  But still everything in Moderation.  The BBV fb page was so helpful at first but now it seems like it is full of silly questions that should come with common sense and Food police.  Today's bit of tidbit was "if you want to lose weight stay away from dairy"  REALLY....I am suppose to give up cheese now.  NOT GOING TO HAPPEN.  I get reduced fat cheese already and now they want me to give it up.  They say give up diet soda and while yes I know that it isn't the best but I have 1 a day (most days).  it is my coffee.  So how would you coffee drinkers like it if I said "give it up"  Yes there is some good advice but mostly the same things are asked over and over and if they just looked at some archived questions or even did a search for it, you would find it.  Questions that are repeated are "how many calories should I eat"  "what is the best workout for me"  "how much water do I need to drink and how do I figure out what half my body weight in oz is"  "I have been on this for X amount of time and I haven't lost anything"  I am not going to lie....I have been on this for 90 days now.  I have lost 9 pound.  Not outstanding numbers but at the beginning i wasn't the greatest with it.  i was trying to do WW and BBV.  In the last week I have been counting calories.  Now this feat isn't easy.  Trying to figure out what I should be eating.  If I wasn't working out, it would be easy.  My BMR is 1288  (body metabolic rate)  But then you have to figure out fitness.  That is where I go wonky.  Some would say I am intense.  I think I am moderately active.  Yes some weeks I am intense but mostly moderate.  So according to that I should be eating 1900 calories but getting that in my head seems like a LOT.  So I am starting out at 1400-1600 calories.  (a good midway range)  If that won't work.  I will probably up it.  to 1500-1700.  But I won't up it until after my legs are done...I will have to cut back on my workouts when that is done.    One thing I noticed doing calorie counting is that I eat less veggies and fruits.  on WW they counted as zero...now they count for something.  I think if this coming week I don't lose anything I might do calorie but count fruits and veggies as zero and see if increasing them while keeping my reg calories the same will help

I also have to fight the be happy where I am at feeling.  I also need to fight the "I am sick of working out"  feeling.  It use to make me happy going to the gym but today was rough.  I didn't want to be there.  I didn't want to workout.  It don't help when my husband brings home pizza and chocolate and eats out more than me.  I need a vacation from thinking about food and exercise.  But I can't.  I have a company picnic to go to with dh on the 15th.  Then I was going to go "camping" with MiL  (I say camping loosely cuz we aren't really going to be in a tent)

Another thing is I am having RFA of my veins on the 30th.  I am scared and nervous.  I don't know what to expect or what the recovery is?  When I can get back to my regular gym schedule.  I am just freaked out

I don't know where I am going with this.   I will be at the gym tomorrow (water fitness) and the next day and the next day.  I will be counting my calories like a good girl.

Day One Detox Epic Fail

Ok really not that bad.  I didn't follow it to the tee.  I was doing good most of the day.  This is how my day was suppose to go and then I will (parenthesize what I did)

Breakfast
Shake made with 2 scoops vi powder, ice, strawberries, chia seed, coconut oil
(I made my shake but didn't do the coconut oil didn't have any yet)

Snack
1 cup Plain Greek yogurt with some honey and almond shaved
(I figured if I can have strawberries above why can't I have fat free greek yogurt with strawberries.  I had 10oz, I was out and about and one container was 5oz)

Lunch
Same as breakfast (I had this with coconut oil this time.  but it was soooo thick, i even forgo'd the ice this time.  I had to choke it down, it was just too thick)

Snack
avocado with lemon...(I don't like avocado unless it is in guacamole.  I had 2 Vi snack bites and some cauliflower/broccoli salad.  I also ate 2 hard boiled eggs,  I was cooking them and had to see if they were done...yoke wasn't so i just ate the whites...that should equal the avocado right)

Dinner
Same as above.  (I had an almond joy flavored shake.  I just can't have the strawberry.  which is strange cuz that was my go to shake but for some reason they are coming out toooo thick.)

now i should be done for the night but if i get hungry I might just steam some broccoli (it has to be eaten)

I worked out killer today.  Pump and elliptical.  I do miss my attack class though.  :(  but i still have Wednesdays class.

Body by Vi

I am sure some of you have heard about this product.  If not let me tell you a little bit about it.  It is a meal replacement shake.  But it is far different from anything like slim fast or protein powders.  It is the shake mix that tastes like a cake.  Yup that is right CAKE.  And there is so many recipes you can try.  Straight it tastes like vanilla cake...but add stuff to it (pudding powders and flavorings) and you have something MORE.  Almond Joy Shake, Snickers Shake, Butterfinger, strawberry cheese cake, rootbeer float.  You all know that there are times you just want a candy bar for breakfast.  Well now you can and it is good for you and full of nutrients and keeps you full, where a candy bar you will be hungry again not long after you eat it.  2 scoops of powder (what you use in your shake) is 90 calories.  Add in some light almond milk at 30 calories.  then a few add in and you are looking at under 300 calories for a meal.  You replace only 2 of your meals with this and then a sensible Lunch or dinner (or breakfast if you like.)  Just replace 2 and see the results.  It comes to about $2 per meal.  So before you look at the cost think about that break down.  Yes 2 bags will cost about $100 but you are not buying food for those 2 meals (well i guess if you have kids you are)  I know some people are so squeamish about it all.  But I have been reading success stories and it does work.  I broke my plateau on this shake.  I even got my husband to take it.  Even if you don't use it for meals, it is good for dessert option.  Tastes like a blizzard from DQ.  Kids can have it also.  Great for mornings when you are rushing.  If you have a kid who don't like to eat breakfast...make him/her a dessert breakfast that is good for you.   There are so many other things.  You can do the project 10 and if you loose 10# you get your name put in to possibly win $1000.  If you can get 3 friends to sign up (heck it is healthy and good for you so why not) you can get your shakes free.  Here is a link to the fact sheet   If you have any questions...feel free to email me Leah.  If you would like to order, visit my page Leah's Body By Vi  The best thing is they do have a 90 day guarantee ..so if it don't work then you are out nothing.  But if it does work, you will be amazed and want to share.   I am not a promoter so I don't get paid if you join.  I would just get the free if I get 3 and I would be grateful for that. If you want me to get you a sample I can do that too.  Just let me know.  Where do you know that you can have a snickers for a meal and still lose weight.  Edited to add.  that I have lost about 6# on these shakes (small number compared to some but remember I have been doing WW for 2 years now) tomorrow I am going to get measured again.  I will update you on that and see if I lost inches.  I think tomorrow I am going to attempt the Body by Vi Detox.   Wish me luck.

Long time no post

I know I kinda fell off the wagon a bit on posting.  I just don't like how blogger switched the layout of everything.  Still don't.

I have still been trucking a long.  I see my last post I talked about how I was 177.  Well I have been yo yo'ing all around.  Despite me still working out religiously (about 6 days a week) Adding a grueling Body Attack to the mix.  Watching what I eat (no bad me hasn't been logging food but I swear I have been good)   I have been stuck in the low 180's.  I know I am horrible with tracking food and taking my vitamins.  SO....I noticed my friend talking about something called Body by Vi shakes.  It is from a company called Visalus.  It is touted the shake that tastes like a cake.  I have always been iffy on meal replacement stuff.  You things like SlimFast and whey protein mixes.  They just scare me and seem like they wouldn't be very tasty.  So I got a sample from my friends sister and I tried.  Dude, it does taste like a cake.  Doing more searches online I found the recipes that use this shake are endless.   Who don't like eating strawberry cheesecake for breakfast and it being healthy for you?  YUM!  So I signed up.  I started my shakes.  I was only going to replace 1 meal cuz really, I didn't think I could do 2.  Surprisingly it wasn't too hard to do 2.  So now I am doing 2.  I always do a shake for breakfast but I do switch up my 2nd shake with lunch or dinner.  The first week on the shakes, I lost 2.7 pounds.  Now I have been perusing a support group and see people losing 7+ pounds the first week but that is their first week of food editing ( my new term  as it isn't a diet but an edit) and we all know that the first week is usually the biggest loss.  I have been food editing for 2 years so my loss wasn't that great, but still 2.7# after gaining for the last few weeks is AWESOME.   I am trying to get down as much as I can as my family is doing this biggest loser thing.  I have 2 weeks till final weigh in.

On the shakes I have more energy.  I don't have to remember my vitamins cuz they are in the shake.  The flavors are endless which is one of the downsides to most meal replacements shakes, you are stuck with the same 2-3 flavors.  Visalus has recipes..ones I have tried are Snickers, ButterFinger, OrangeJulius (not my fave) White chocolate Caramel Cappicino (yum), Strawberry Cheesecake (one of my faves) Girl Scout Samoya cookie, Cookies and Cream, Peanut Butter cup and Almond Joy.  But there is soooooo many more.  I tried one day to not have shakes cuz it was my splurge day but I felt awful.  I guess I will have to go easy on splurge.  I have even got dh having shakes.   The Shakes are pretty reasonable in cost.  A little over $100 for 2 bags that should last you a month.  Cost per shake is about $2 (slightly more depending what you mix it with, I do half almond milk and half skim milk) but you can do just water.

So I am going to try and keep posting and see where I go with this Body By Vi Shakes.  I am trying to lose 10# to start cuz I want the I Lost it Shirt.  I also would like to get down to at least 170 before I go in for my varicose vein treatment, because there is a few of my usual workouts that I am going to have to give up for a little bit (Body Attack, the squats and lunges and probably the back track in Body Pump.

Oh I also want to mention my bff and I are going to be doing the color run this summer.  how exciting.  We will probably run and walk it.

Weigh In 7/22/12 BRING IT

So I set this goal that I want to reach 170 by Aug 2nd.  That was last week when I weighed in at 177.  This weeks weigh in and I am at 174.8  that is 2.9 pounds lost this week.  I am so HAPPY.  I still have 10 days till my goal.  Will I reach it I don't know.  but I am really happy with that number.  Even more so since I haven't tallied my points for 2 weeks.   Two days ago I started Green Coffee Extract.  We will see where that takes me.  I also only got to the gym 2 days and didn't do elliptical all week.  so a 2.9 loss is GREAT (though I did set up a garage sale and that was lifting and stairs.  Also kept me busy and not eating)

This week I will only get 2 days of pump in.  maybe some elliptical and i think Sam and I will head to the beach a day or 2.

Also my sister informs me that I now weigh less than her.  I never thought that would happen.  ;)

I need to loose as much as i can cuz we are going to IL Aug 2nd and as we all know there are no points in Dekalb. :)

Green Coffee Extract

I stumbled on this by accident.  I went to msnbc to look for info on the CO shooting at Batman movie and saw a link to Dr. Oz and talking about Green Coffee Extract.  Now I am not a fan of Dr. Oz.  The man contradicts himself a lot.  What is bad for you one day is good for you the next and vise versa.  So I went with what he said and looked up more information on it.  From what I seen and results from reviews on the shopping sites, this looks promising.  Basically what it does is prevent the release of glucose in the blood stream and with that the body uses energy from the fat instead.  It also may aid in heating up the body which will melt the fat.   From the Dr. Oz video, he tested it on 2 women.  The women didn't change anything in their life style.  One women lost 2# and one lost 6#.  in FIVE DAYS....I have seen on some of the reviews where one person lost 1# a day.  So I guess we will see what happens to me.  I also have been taking other vitamins,  Cinnamon for curbing the sugar eating, K2 for my varicose veins, CLA for metabolism, a pill for my hair and skin,  B12 for metabolism.  Add to that Phase 2 for minimizing the carbs.  I just started GCE today.  so i don't think i will have any instant result on Sunday.  But I have been doing great this week food and fitness wise so we shall see what is up with my loss.  I have 12 days, I want to be as close to 170 as i can

Chicken Bacon Ranch Pasta

Ingredients:
4 tbsp crumbled bacon (I used the stuff from the salad dressing aisle)
2tsp minced garlic
1pkg ranch mix
1 can Healthy Request Cream of Chicken (better than 98% fat free b/c sodium is low too and it's already a salty dish)
1c fat free sour cream
1/2c skim milk
12oz whole wheat pasta (I used Rotini, but rigatoni or ziti would work well) (don't need to be whole wheat all the same points)
18oz boneless/skinless breasts (i put a couple of breasts in slow cooker with some broth and garlic)

Directions:
  1. Combine bacon, garlic, ranch mix, soup, sour cream, and milk in saucepan until a thick sauce.
  2. Bake chicken until done and then slice into strips (or cheat and use Tyson LOL)
  3. Cook pasta as directed.  *Instructions say to top pasta with chicken then sauce, but I just mixed it all together first and I liked it better that way.
