This weigh in day scared me cuz i wasn't the best at keeping my snacking down then on Sunday we went to Fuddruckers before going to look at ellipticals. The noise in there was crazy. i couldn't think. then i was trying to see what the kids wanted and didn't pay attention to what i should get. So i went with the number 1 which was too much burger. i should have got a kids cheeseburger, or a grilled chicken or the taco salad thing i saw. but i got too much burger. which was 27point. yep that is alot for meal. Anyway it is weigh in day and i lost
SEVEN AND A HALF POUNDS
Also the difference between last week and this week was that last week i didn't excercise. the kid were on spring break and i just didn't go out. This week i have to excercise for the remaining of the month to get my 12 sessions in so that the insurance will take $20 off my payment and i also did 2 80min session of water fitness. So for me excercise does matter. Total weight loss since the beginning 23.5 pounds. I am getting so close to 200 i can taste it.

Rice seasoning
I found this recipe for rice seasoning when looking for something to jazz up my rice. it is really nummy. i left out the lemon peel as i didn't have any.
enjoy
1/2 c. instant chicken bouillon
1/2 c. dried parsley
1 tbsp. dried whole basil
1 tbsp. minced dried onion
1 tbsp. dried dill weed
2 tsp. seasoned salt
1 tsp. garlic powder
1/2 tsp. lemon peel
1/2 tsp. ground black pepper
put all in a jar with a lid and shake. just add it to the rice while you are simmering it in the water. it says use 3tbsp to 1 cup rice (dry) but i use like 1tsp when i make half a cup of rice (dry) you can vary it to taste

Weigh In day 3/19/11 :(
Well it is weigh in day. Sadly i gained a pound. So back to the drawing board. where did i go wrong. Well i didn't workout this week. the kids were off for spring break and getting out of the house is impossible unless i get up early and go when dh gets home but really if i dont have to go out I am not going to. I could have gone for a walk as it was nice out but i didn't. Two i think i munched to much and didn't get to register it in my daily diary. I need to have a paper so i can jot things down and then enter it from time to time or i will forget. I am going to put out a bowl of veggies and hopefully munch on them. i thought for sure i didn't use all my points yesterday but when you factor in the little here and there, i did use more points than i thought.
I also need to get more OG salad dressing. Maybe if dh goes to lunch with the guys in woodbury he can pick me up some. exspecially considering that Sam is loving the dressing to and so i have a feeling i will be making two salads instead of 1

Herb baked chicken and veggies
1 lb chicken (i cut this in 4 pieces)
1tsp season salt
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp black pepper
2 tsp dried basil
2 tbsp olive oil (i use half olive half melted light butter)
Sm yellow onion
Veggies this can pretty much be what you want to try but remember even though veggies are 0points on WW it could add a point or 2 to your finished meal.
2 large potatoes cut into 1-1.5 inch chunks
1 cup of chopped zuchini/yellow squash
1 cup carrot
prehead oven to 400*.
take all season and mix in with the olive oil. place the cut up veggies in a casserole dish with lid. Using a pastry brush, put about half the mixture all over the veggies in the bottom of the pan and cover. reserve the zuchini though as it bakes quickly and it will be mushy. Bake for about 10min. after about 10min take the chicken breast and brush the remaining mixture on the chicken and then place that on top of the veggies and cover again. bake for about 45 min. after about 10-15 min you can add the zuchini in under the chicken.
I just put zuchini in this for the first time they other day and it turned out delicious. though it was a tad over cooked. so next time i will add it about half way through the cooking process.
the original recipe calls for green pepper, roma tomato and sweet potatoes but none of those i think i will care for but if you want to add them you can. i substituted the above with the onion, carrots and zuchini.
when put into the points calculator it came out to 7-8points. you could leave out the potatoes for a lower point meal if you like.

Nothing lost Nothing gained. ah can't have everything. kinda figured since last week was a big loss. seems like a trend, little loss littls loss then big loss then no loss. I need to order a food scale from WW.
Things that i find hard. getting something fast when out. if i run out of the house and need to grab a meal it is hard since I am usually with S and she want McD's And since we rarely go in to the place, eating a Salad is a no when driving. The other day she wanted Pizza from Sam's club and you know they really dont' have anything there for me to eat. so since i only has banana's for lunch i did have a piece of pizza.
I also miss grabbing candy. i love to grab a candy bar at the check out and now i can't. I am going to see about starting taking cinnamon as a supplement and see how that will work. my mom says it helps curb the sweet cravings.
But I am really good at sticking to serving sizes of say Mashed potatoes and the like. I LOVE THEM. avoiding the bread at the beginning of meals or if i do sticking to only 1. Hubby on the other hand NOT.
yesterday i made one of my fave chicken meals and this time I added zuchini and yellow squash (yellow zuchini i call it) and let me tell you IT WAS DELICIOUS. 8pts for the meal and it was sooo nummy, you could even add a side of steamed broccoli or a salad and be good. I will post it after this post.

Panera WOW
So today we were going to run errands (btw never got to Sam's club) So we ran to the store first. not good on empty stomach. we got out of there fairly well off. no junk food. Then i was hungry so dh decided to go to Panera. i haven't been there in awhile. I didn't have my phone with me so i couldn't check the points. So i ordered the Frontega Chicken which is my fave. so i get the sandwich and i don't remember it being that big. so being the good girl i take half and put it in one of the take home packages and then eat the other half. It came with a bagette and i am thinking i should have got the apple. I didn't eat the bagette either, that went in the to go box. i ate my sandwich slowely. it was sooo good, i could have ate the other half. Good thing i didnt eat it. I got home to find out that it was 23 points. HOLY BATMAN. so i got 12 points for Lunch. NOw it is 8pm and i am spent. everyone ate but me. kids had speghetti, Dh a steak quesidillia. I think i am going to make me a big ol salad and call it a day. i have like 13 points left. but i am going to take 4 off for some munching i did while cooking. it is so hard to figure that out, the munching.

How i use to be
I use to be able see Girl Scouts selling cookies and buy 2 boxes and not have a care in the world about eating the whole box in one day. Right now they are out like crazy selling cookies. I call them "crack" dealers cuz i have no control with them and won't stop eating till they are gone. other cookies i can pace myself and get a taste and be good but not GS cookies. 1 box of tagalongs is my day in points. MY DAY. So far i have been good, i bought 2 boxes from my friend and i have walk past 3 "crack" dealers selling there cookie drugs. Today they were outside walmart when i ran in. It is also easter time which means cadbury eggs. i haven't yet bought some, I love the caramel ones but I haven't yet seen them so it is easy for me to pass of the regular ones. but i know when i do see them i will get me some, i have to at least once. it is a right of passage in our family. when we visit our mom we always bring her a cadbury at this time.

This week dh said he is going to start going to the gym with me. I am going to pick him up some jogging pants. He said we can't really afford to get an elliptical this year so this is what he says he will do. We shall see. i know the first few days is going to be hard for him cuz he isn't use to working out. and i know that he will probably try to keep up with me. I doubt he will want to join me in water fitness though.
